Stone me! Rock-stacking sculpture in Bushy Park

By The Editor 5th Nov 2021

Who is Bushy Park's secret stone-stacking sculptor?

The mystery 'whostackedit?' started after the intricate network of stones appeared in the stream near the Stockyard entrance to Bushy Park.

The scuplture, which includes over 30 different-sized stones and includes a triangular stone creating a bridge effect must have taken hours and must qualify as the most imaginative of 'exercise' in these restricted times.

In fairness, there has been Government NO guidance on stone-stacking(!) which is a common sight on beaches around the country but a very rare sight in a Royal Park.

Passers-by were mesmerised by the creation today and were careful not to let their frolicking dogs ruin the new piece of Bushy Park 'art.'

Rock balancing or stone balancing (stone or rock stacking) is an art, discipline, or hobby in which rocks are naturally balanced on top of one another in various positions without the use of adhesives, wires, supports, rings or any other contraptions which would help maintain the construction's balance
