Welcome to your weekly roundup of what's going on at The Lensbury.

There's plenty to know about this week.

October Tennis Camps

The Lensbury's October tennis camps will be running from 28-31 October (Credit: The Lensbury)

The Lensbury's ever-popular October Tennis Camps are returning, now offering even better value for all levels of players.

The camps will be running from 28 – 31 October.

Whether you're new to the game or honing your skills, there is something for everyone.

The camps will once again feature Red, Orange/Green and Yellow Ball programmes.

For more advanced players The Lensbury's Performance Camps will take their game to the next level.

October Water sports Courses

Experience an unforgettable autumn with The Lensbury's half term water sports courses, running from 21 October – 1 November.

These are a great opportunity to get away from phone screens, get active, and master new skills on the water.

'Upgunner' Book Launch at St Mary's University

As you may have heard, Lensbury Member Christopher Bryde has chosen to train at The Lensbury in preparation for competing in the 2025 Invictus Games for the United States Marine Corps.

To share his unique story, Bryde has written a deeply personal novel, providing a moving portrayal of a US Marine's battle for survival, both mentally and physically, after waking from a coma after an IED explosion.

Bryde will be hosting a book launch at St Mary's University on 22 October, which will include an exclusive interview and a reading from the novel followed by drinks.

Speed Puzzling

Bring your friends and family to create a team of up to four in The Dunbar Members' Lounge on 15 October for a fun and fast-paced evening of Speed Puzzling.

Test your teamwork and puzzle-solving skills, racing to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle for the chance to win a cash prize.

A Night At The West End

Don't forget that The Lensbury's musical-themed spectacular fireworks show, A Night At The West End is happening on Saturday 2 November.

What's included:

  • Fireworks Display to music by award-winning Titanium Fireworks at 7:00pm
  • Traditional Bonfire
  • Delicious Food and Drink Stalls
  • Rides, Family Entertainment and Games
  • Face painting

Children 15 and under go free with one free child ticket per adult ticket.

At the time of writing there are still a very few specially priced Early Bird tickets available for Members, but with demand so high that these tickets won't last long.
