Teddington PHOTO SPECIAL: Spectacular fireworks light up The Lensbury

By Tilly O'Brien 4th Nov 2024

On Saturday 2 November, The Lensbury hosted it's a Night at the West End fireworks display.

With the doors opening at 5.30pm, the sold-out event saw thousands attending to enjoy hot food, drinks, face painting, inflatables for the kids, and fair ground rides before watching the West End musical-themed display.

The display, brought to The Lensbury by award-winning Titanium Fireworks, who host many of the world's biggest and best events, started at 7.30pm rather than the planned 7pm to allow guests to enter – it was that busy.

Having never seen a fireworks display created along to music, I was impressed by how synchronised the fireworks were with each song, bursting into the sky in array of colours when each song dropped a beat.

The starting song was Phantom of the Opera, and other songs included a variety of West End musical hits including Frozen's 'Love is an Open Door' , 'This is Me' from The Greatest Showman, which was my personal favourite., and 'Mamma Mia from Mamma Mia.

As the display took place attendees enjoyed singing along to all their favourite bops whilst enjoying the beauty that erupted.

One attendee from Surbiton said: "I loved the fireworks show and the way it was accompanied by music."

Attendees even took to x (formerly Twitter) to express the joy for the show.

Now THAT was a fine firework display! Thank you @TheLensbury
