A restaurant and bar in Teddington is hosting a Brazilian-themed night later this month.

The Wharf's Rio-inspired celebration is taking place on Friday, 21 November at 7pm.

Speaking about the event, The Wharf says: "No Brazilian celebration would be complete without the country's beloved national dish, Feijoada – a rich, slow-cooked stew of black beans, tender meats and traditional spices, served with rice, farofa and fresh orange slices. Bursting with depth and flavour, it's the heart and soul of Brazilian cuisine.

"Alongside Feijoada, our chefs will be creating a selection of vibrant seafood specials, inspired by Brazil's sun-soaked coastline – bringing the colours, aromas and spirit of South America straight to your plate.

"Setting the mood, the acclaimed Brazilian musician Mario Bakuna will perform live throughout the evening – filling the air with the smooth sounds of samba, bossa nova, and beyond.

"Renowned for his soulful voice, masterful guitar playing and captivating stage presence, Mario Bakuna is one of London's most celebrated Brazilian musicians. His music blends the rich traditions of samba, bossa nova and Afro-Brazilian rhythms with jazz influences, transporting audiences straight to the heart of Rio de Janeiro. With performances across Europe and Brazil, Mario's passion and energy promise to bring an authentic taste of Brazil to The Wharf.
