Mexican Pop Up @ Cafe M.A.D – Saturday, 8 June

Blind Tiger is back with another pop-up night at Café M.A.D.

Since starting in January this year, Blind Tiger has taken its diners to Indonesia, Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan.

This week, locals can get a taste of authentic Mexican cuisine, like tostadas de birria – slow-cooked beef on a fried tortilla – and esquites, a sweetcorn salad and staple of Mexican street food vendors.

Pick-up and dine-in options are both available at Café M.A.D, but must be preordered by 7pm on Friday, 7 June.

Soul and Jazz Classics with Maxyne Ryan @ The Wharf – Sunday, 9 June

Maxyne has been performing for over 20 years and has played at many of London's iconic venues including The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium, The Savoy and The Dorchester

In 2016 she resigned from a leadership position in education to study a Masters Degree in Jazz Voice at the world renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Maxyne is coming to the The Wharf this weekend, where she will perform songs from the great American Songbook as well as a few choice jazz and soul classics.

The Maxyne Ryan Duo will be playing on Sunday starting from 1:30pm.

Charity Cabaret Night @ The Beech House – Thursday, 6 June

If cabaret is more your thing, join Aspects Production at Beech House over in Hampton Hill for an evening of 'elegance and melody' watching The Piaf Story.

Proceeds from the three-course dinner will help support Hampton Hill Theatre Charity in its 'ongoing mission to inspire, entertain, and enrich our community'.

Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets are £55, and include the meal and show.

D-Day 80th Anniversary Service – Saturday, 8 June

The Teddington Royal British Legion is holding a ceremony and celebration of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Europe.

A small service outside the club at 4pm, led by the vicar of St Mary with St Alban will give attendees a chance to lay a remembrance cross.

A 40s-themed performance by Buzz Band will start from 7:30pm – although organisers say period fancy dress is optional!

The legion is also running an open day from 3pm to let locals look around the club and see if they would like to join as a member.

The ceremony and celebration starts at Teddington Royal British Legion from 4pm.
