As with every year, this year's event could not be organised without the help of local business sponsors.

This year's sponsors include The Lensbury, Chase Buchanan, Ruba Restaurant, Nix Academy, Holmes & Daughters, Parsonage & Co, The Kings Head, Savills, Lyes Electrical, LEYF Nurseries, Kindred Nurseries, and Teddington Lottery.

This year, organiser Teddington Together is also seeking donations to help aid the running of the event.

If you donate £25 or more, your name will be proudly displayed on Teddington Together's Broad Street Christmas Tree banner. You can donate to the cause here.

The charity has also stuck stickers to shop windows around town as a special thank you to those that are sponsoring the event to help make it happen.

Speaking about raising money for the event, Teddington Together said: "Each year, Teddington Together install Christmas lights, Large Christmas Trees and put on a spectacular Christmas lights switch-on event that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the area.

"The lights switch on is one of the major highlights of Teddington and is the biggest Christmas event in the Richmond borough.

"As you know, a lot of time and effort is needed to get the Christmas lights set up each year along with a significant cost to hold the event, purchase and install the lights.

"Many of our wonderful Teddington traders support us in donating towards this event however they cannot fund it all!

"So, this is where we need the help of our community and those who attend and love the event every year, to help us raise enough funds to ensure this year is as spectacular and we can bring some Christmas cheer to Teddington.

"Please help light up our beautiful town and support this wonderful event!

"Thank you for any support!

"Teddington Together Team."
