The Anglers kicks of the new ear with fabulous New Year’s Eve charity fundraiser
On New Year's Eve, The Anglers at Teddington Lock welcomed hordes of locals to its third consecutive New Year's Eve charity fundraiser.
100% of all ticket sales will benefit Issy's Silver Linings, and over £10,000 was raised on the night.
Starting at 7.30pm the pub was filled with locals of all ages and families enjoying a free tipple (all tickets came with one free drink) or even a meal in the pub's restaurant area.
The beer garden was packed with punters needing the heaters, but the cold weather didn't stop punters from having a good time.
There was even an outdoor bar area under a gazebo with extra tables to help cater to the amount of people who attended.
At the back of the pub, people were able to enjoy a boogie with the area made into a dance floor and a DJ playing house disco, and club classics.
To ring in the new year, guests gathered in the beer garden overlooking Teddington Lock to count down to midnight and this was followed by an excellent fireworks display.
But the fun didn't end there as the pub stayed open with the DJ blasting out tunes and drinks flowing until the early hours of the morning.
Despite how many people attended the event, the bar staff worked expertly ensuring that no one had to wait too long to be served and keeping a smile on their faces throughout.
It truly was an excellent night and the perfect way to start 2025.
The Anglers is one of our lovely sponsors.
Without their community-minded sponsorship, we wouldn't be able to bring you local news free from overly-intrusive ads, pop-ups and clickbait.
