Teddington pub’s paddle boarding club features in viral TikTok
By Tilly O'Brien 9th Jun 2026
A TikTok revealing that locals can paddleboard directly to a riverside pub in Teddington has been attracting attention online, highlighting one of the capital's more unusual summer activities.
The video showcases a scenic route along the River Thames that takes paddlers from Teddington to The Anglers pub.
With sessions run by Paddle Richmond, it provides a unique way for people to enjoy the river before enjoying a drink at the pub's riverside garden.
Paddle Richmond operates from The Anglers itself, allowing visitors to get on the water and return straight to the pub's riverside garden afterwards.
This stretch of the Thames is described as one of the safest for recreational paddling and learning.
It offers a glimpse into a quieter, more serene side of London and peaceful stretches of water.
With summer approaching, it is likely that more people are looking to outdoor activities to enjoy the warmer weather.
The Angglers will also be hosting a Sup Club every other Wednesday at 6.30pm throughout summer for Richmond Paddle members.
The next Sup Club will be tomorrow (Wednesday, 10 June).
The Anglers is one of our lovely sponsors.
Without their community-minded sponsorship, we wouldn't be able to bring you local news free from overly-intrusive ads, pop-ups and clickbait.
