Not who you'd normally expect to see delivering your post

A Teddington postman decided he was going to bring some extra cheer when delivering his letters on Saturday.

We could all do with something to smile about right now and residents of Wilcox Road definitely had grins on their faces over the weekend.

Their postman delivered their letters dressed as Spongebob Squarepants!

The popular cartoon character has been on our screens for 20 years but this is the first time (that we know of) he's been delivering post in TW11.

Wilcox Road resident, Alan Rolph, sent us in this photo and told us the postman was donning the costume simply to make people smile.

It certainly achieved that as you cannot help but chuckle at the costume.

Community heroes like this postman are exactly what makes Teddington such a great place to live and also exactly the kind of story we like featuring here at Nub News.

So if you have a community hero you would like us to feature do not hesitate to email [email protected]
