Shiver in the River - Wild swimmers take the plunge into the Thames at Teddington

3rd Dec 2020 | Local News

Icy drizzle drenched Teddington as temperatures plummet with a forecast of snow in some areas tomorrow

Perfect for wild swimming in the Thames opposite the Lensbury Club where the towpath offers easy access to the murky water.

Marlene, Ian and Jane braved the conditions much to the astonishment of passing dog walkers and cyclists.

Marlene told Nub News: "It's beautiful today. That's my second swim of the day.

"We were regular swimmers in the Serpentine but when that closed we started swimming here and it's much easier as we're local."

Nub News has also covered wild swimmers back in the summer - which you can check out HERE

There's also some details of the do's and do not's of this type of swimming in the link above.
