Blues legend to play intimate Teddington show
By Guest 1st Oct 2026
Blues star Dave Kelly is set to perform at Teddington's community centre next month.
To blues enthusiasts, Kelly needs no introduction because since the 60s, he has been a cornerstone of the British blues scene.
A singer, composer and master of slide guitar, he has played alongside and toured with the likes of Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Buddy Guy.
He was a founder member of The Blues Band which was, until they finally called it quits, the country's top blues attraction.
"But you can't keep a good dog down and he is still playing at festivals, clubs and venues across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada," said Elleray Community Centre Association (ECA).
Now, there is an opportunity to see him in an intimate setting at The Elleray Centre.

According to ECA, "It will be an evening of fabulous blues along with the occasional foray into other genres and maybe a few anecdotes about his experiences and career highlights".
This concert is a fundraiser for The Elleray Centre and all proceeds will go towards its Social Club for older people who live in and around Teddington.
ECA said: "So, as well as treating yourself to a great evening, you'll be helping to raise money for a very good cause. So please, tell your friends and come along!"
The Ellery Centre is on North Lane, just off Broad Street, Teddington.
There is a large car park immediately opposite and can be easily reached by bus from Hampton, Kingston and Twickenham and is only a few minutes' walk from Teddington Station.
The doors will open at 7pm and the performance runs from 7.30pm – 9.30pm.
The bar will serve a selection of wines, beers, cider and soft drinks. Tickets cost £15 plus a modest booking fee, and are on sale now online here, but it is recommended you book asap as numbers are limited and Kelly's concerts tend to sell out fast.
The Elleray Centre and its Social Club are managed by a local charity, Elleray Community Association.
