There will be road closures in Twickenham this Saturday (30 December) as two rugby matches are being played.

The matches are:

  • Harlequins Women v Gloucester Hartpury (kick off at 2.30pm)
  • Harlequins v Gloucester (kick off at 5.30pm)

Given attendance numbers, London, Whitton and Rugby Roads are expected to close from around 3.30 to 5.30pm and again from 7 to 9.30pm.

For this fixture, there will be a new crowd safety barrier on the roads where there previously was police vans.

This is in line with updated guidance for all stadiums across the UK to ensure that there are no unauthorised vehicle movements impacting on crowd safety.

Staff will try to facilitate entry and exit by residents where the police agree that it is safe.

It is not anticipated that it will make a material difference to the road closure times.

Controlled Parking Zones will be in operation around Twickenham on the match day from 11am to 11pm.

The roads will be kept open for as long as it is safe to do so, and to likewise reopen as promptly as possible.

Live traffic updates will be posted on X/Twitter @rfuhometurf on the day.
