Rise in COVID-19 cases in Teddington and across Richmond Borough

There has been a rise in COVID- 19 cases according to the latest government figures.

However there are some positives to highlight.

In Teddington Central there were nine new cases - an increase of one from the previous week.

This means the COVID rate per 100,000 people is 122 - well below the national average.

The picture is worse in Teddington East and Hampton Wick however.

There has been a 100% increase in cases with 18 newly reported cases - compared to 9 last week.

The rate per 100,000 there is still below the national average however with 157 per 100,000 having the virus.

Strawberry Hill has the worst COVID rate in the borough with 272 per 100,000 people carrying the virus - this is above the national average.

The current national restrictions expire on December 2nd.
