Richmond's position as a film and TV location favourite has been confirmed in the new Amazon Prime drama, Mammals.

The Golden Globe winner, Sally Hawkins, and Colin Morgan, probably best known for his TV role as Merlin, filmed after-dark scenes on Richmond Bridge.

The five part series also stars actor and talk show host James Corden, who plays the role of a Michelin-starred chef whose world implodes when he discovers shocking secrets about his pregnant wife.

The Richmond Bridge features in a fantasy scene where Colin Morgan's character, Jeff Wilson, who is suffering a crisis when he is rescued by his wife Lue, played by Sally Hawkins.

The borough's building, streets and riverside have proved a magnet for film and TV makers. Apple's hit comedy series, Ted Lasso, has put Richmond on the global tourism map.

Just recently, Sir Michael Caine, was seen on the set of a film in Church Street, Twickenham, which follows the story of a World War II veteran who escapes his care home to attend commemorations in Normandy.

Richmond Green provided a backdrop for the Netflix supernatural hit series The Sandman, while the town is also at the centre of a new ITV spy drama set in the 1960s starring Damian Lewis and Guy Pearce.
