The much-loved Richmond May Fair will return to Richmond Green on Saturday, 9 May 2026, promising a full day of entertainment, shopping and family fun.

Organisers say this year's event will once again bring together local charities, businesses and residents for a vibrant community celebration that has been a Richmond tradition for more than 50 years.

Oscars will serve as the Fair's Gold Sponsor, while Be Richmond will sponsor the free entertainment programme.

St Catherine's School is supporting the event as Silver Sponsor, and the popular Dog Show will be sponsored by Pet People, run by Ian Stroud.

Applications for stallholders opened on 1 January and organisers say there has already been strong interest from both returning favourites and new exhibitors.

Visitors can expect a wide range of artisan stalls, charity stands, food and drink vendors, along with a traditional funfair and the ever-popular Dog Show.

The Fair will also feature a full programme of free live entertainment, with several new attractions planned for 2026.

By popular demand, the world-famous Hammersmith Morris Men will once again perform throughout the day around the Green, bringing traditional music and dance to the event.

The Fair originally grew out of activities around St Mary Magdalene Church, where the church bells traditionally ring to open the celebrations each year.

In 2026, the church will also be supporting its campaign to replace the bells by bringing a mobile belfry to the Green, giving visitors the rare chance to try bell ringing themselves.

Pamela Fleming, Chair of the May Fair Committee, said organisers are looking forward to welcoming the community back for another memorable event.

"We are excited to welcome you on May 9 to the best May Fair yet with plenty for everyone to enjoy," she said.

"Great shopping, free entertainment all day, talking to our wonderful charities and meeting friends old and new.

"Huge thanks to our generous sponsors and fantastic volunteers – we couldn't put on the Fair without your support."
