Richmond is one of the most expensive London boroughs for bin collections

According to My London, "some London Councils are slapping charges of over £100 per year on residents for garden waste collections, while others provide the service free of charge to all residents with a garden".
And Richmond Council is one of them.
Richmond, along with next door Kingston, is one of the most expensive areas in London with the council charging £90 per year for a bin collection subscription, as well as a £38 purchase fee for the bin, or 10 garden sacks for £22.70 for occasional usage.
However, My London writes, "you can avoid these costs in all boroughs by simply taking your garden waste to a local recycling centre. Just ensure to check your centre's booking policy and opening hours before turning up."
