To meet a growing demand for football, particularly from junior and girls' teams, Richmond Council's Parks Team is now consulting on plans to add two new pitches on Hampton Common.

The proposals map out a new nine-a-side football pitch and five-a-side training grid, which would join the existing 11-a-side and nine-a-side pitches already available.

With football's ever-growing popularity among women and girls, female teams and groups will receive priority on the new pitches.

To further support bringing more football to local teams and players, the council is also proposing upgrades to the former Ambulance Station on Tangley Park Road.

The council says: "These would include installing an internal storage and a permanent accessible toilet, replacing the current temporary portaloo used during weekend matches."

Find out more about the proposals here and complete the online survey by Sunday, 14 September.

If you need to request a paper questionnaire or any other format, you can do so by emailing [email protected] or calling 020 8891 1411.
