This is your run-down of emergency roadworks and organised events so you can get ahead and plan your weekend.

Emergency Works

Richmond Road, Twickenham, Multiway signals junction with St Margarets Road for Thames Water emergency works. Estimated completion date 24/08/2023. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Mortlake High Street, Mortlake Two-way temporary traffic signals near junction of Ashleigh Road for Cadent Gas emergency works. Estimated completion date 25/08/2023. Contact: Cadent Gas 08000 159 057

Penrhyn Crescent, East Sheen is closed junction of Upper Richmond Road West for Cadent Gas emergency works. Estimated completion date 23/08/2023. Contact: Cadent Gas 08000 159 057

Planned Works

Broom Road, Teddington (Phase 1) Multi-way temporary traffic signals from Trowlock Way to Fairways, for major gas main replacement works. Estimated completion date 03/09/2023. Contact: SGN 07583 671 386

Castelnau, Barnes Two-way temporary traffic signals 75m either side of Newport Road for Cadent Gas utility works. Estimated completion date 15/02/2024. Newport Road, Barnes will be closed until 12/08/2023 to facilitate these works. Washington Road will be closed 12/08/2023. Station Road, Barnes will also be closed outside the railway station in conjunction with these works until 12/09/2023. Hounslow Road, Twickenham Multi-way temporary traffic signals junction Warren Road and Nelson Road for Thames Water sewer cleaning works, works commencing on 21/08/2023 until 22/08/2023. NIGHT WORKS Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Kew Gardens Road, Kew various traffic management on whole road for replacement of streetlights works, works commencing on 18/08/2023 until 21/08/2023. Contact: Street Lighting 07854 546192

Kew Road, Kew various traffic management on whole road for replacement of streetlights works, works commencing on 25/08/2023 until 29/08/2023. Contact: Street Lighting 07854 546192

Manor Road, Richmond is closed outside Majestic Wine for Thames Water utility works. Estimated completion date 23/08/2023. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Normansfield Avenue, Hampton Wick will be closed junction Elton Close and Glamorgan Road for Thames Water utility works, works commencing on 21/08/2023 until 26/08/2023. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Paynesfield Avenue, East Sheen will be closed junction Upper Richmond Road West for Thames Water utility manhole repair works on 24/08/2023. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Queens Road, Teddington Multi-way temporary traffic signals opposite number 40 for Openreach utility works on 23/08/2023. Contact: Kelly Group 02476 642814

Queens Road, Richmond Multi-way temporary traffic signals 36m north to Sheen Road for Thames Water utility works, works commencing on 21/08/2023 until 24/08/2023. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Star and Garter Hill, Richmond various traffic management on whole road for replacement of streetlights. works commencing on 22/08/2023 until 24/08/2023. Contact: Street Lighting 07854 546192

Star and Garter Hill, Richmond will be closed junction of Richmond Hill to junction of Petersham Road for Thames Water sewer cleaning works, works commencing on 25/08/2023 until 28/08/2023. NIGHT WORKS Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Sudbrook Lane, Petersham will be closed outside Gate House for Openreach utility works on 22/08/2023. Contact: Kelly Group 02476 642814

TfL Works

Upper Richmond Road West multi-way temporary traffic signals and the junction with Sheen Lane for Thames Water utility works, works commencing on 04/09/2023 until 07/09/2023. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

A316 Chertsey Road, Westbound and Eastbound directional (NIGHT) closures between junctions Whitton Rd to St Margaret's Rd for TFL resurfacing project. Works to start on 03/08/2023 for approximately 6 weeks. Marlow Crescent, Twickenham will be closed junction Chertsey Road. Access to Cavendish House and Globe House will also be restricted from 06/08/2023 until 04/09/2023.

North Road, Kew is closed from Quiet Way to junction with Lower Richmond Road for [Highway improvement works] Healthy Street and Asset Team combine Highways/Structural refurbishment project including installation kerb build-out, island, new signalised crossings, drainage and ducting until 08/05/2024

The Twickenham Stadium Event Day Controlled Parking Zone will be operational between 11:00hrs and 23:00hrs

The following roads will be closed for approximately 1.5 hours before kick-off and after the final whistle:

  • Rugby Road - full closure
  • London Road - partial closure
  • Whitton Road - partial closure

England vs Fiji, Saturday 26/08/2023

Expected attendance – 84,000

The Twickenham Stadium Event Day Controlled Parking Zone will be operational between 11:00hrs and 23:00hrs

The following roads will be closed for approximately 1.5 hours before kick-off and after the final whistle:

  • Rugby Road - full closure
  • London Road - partial closure
  • Whitton Road - partial closure
