Residents invited to community 'Bring a Dish' event in Teddington

By The Editor 24th Jan 2023

Richmond Council is encouraging Teddington residents and those from across the borough to take part in a potluck event in a bid to strengthen relationships in the community.

The 'Bring a Dish' event is a chance for residents to share their favourite dish with their neighbours and discover new flavours to take home with them, whilst having an opportunity to socialise with new people and strengthening ties in the borough.

A statement from Richmond Council said: "The event is one of the ways we are exploring for residents to feel an added sense of belonging to their community.

"We want our borough to be happy and a welcoming place where the local community can flourish, and no one feels alone. That's why everyone is of course welcome."

Bring a Dish will be held at United Response, the Teddington-based charity supporting those with learning disabilities, and can be found on Field Lane, TW11 9BP.

Guests are not required to bring any food but for those who decide to, clear labels of the ingredients used in meals is required.

The community-based event will be held on Saturday 11 February from 12 to 2pm.
