Remembrance Sunday services to take place in Teddington and surrounds
This year's Remembrance Day services are being held throughout the borough on Sunday 10 November 2024.
There will be a service near to you, including in Teddington, where you can go to pay your respects to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.
Most events will consist of a parade of armed forces veterans, civic dignitaries and religious officials followed by a service and two-minute silence at 11am.
The remembrance events across the borough this year are as follows:
Teddington
The parade starts and proceeds along the High Street and Broad Street at 10.15am.
At 10.30am, it will arrive at the Memorial in Hampton Rd, and the service will start at 10.50am.
The event will be attended by Cllr Richard Baker.
Richmond
The parade in Richmond will begin at 10.15am in Old Deer Park, before moving to the War Memorial on Whittaker Avenue for a service at 10.40am and a wreath laying at 11am.
The service will be attended by The Mayor, Cllr Richard Pyne
Twickenham
The Parade will start at The Embankment at 10.45am and will proceed to the War Memorial in Radnor Gardens.
The service will be attended by The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Kuldev Sehra
Hampton
The parade will begin at 12pm at the Hampton Methodist Church on Percy Road and will be attended by Cllr Gareth Roberts.
East Sheen
There will be an Assembly at 10.30am at East Sheen Lane Centre Car Park before the march begins.
The service will be attended by cllr Tony Paterson
Hampton Hill
The service will start at 9.30am in St James' Church and will be attended by Cllr Jonathan Cardy.
Hampton Wick
The Procession begins at 10.30am at Foresters Arms and will be attended by Cllr Robin Brown
