A pub on Teddington's High Street re-opened today (Thursday, 22 October) after it underwent a £250k refurbishment.
To celebrate the re-opening, The King's Head opened its doors, which were decorated with balloons, at 5pm on Thursday, and welcomed in punters to enjoy a pint or dinner, or just check out the interior.
This was followed by live music from Talisha Sings at 6pm.
As part of the refurb, which saw the venue closed for a month, pub chain Heartwood inns, which owns The King's Head, invested £250k "in giving the pub a full refresh, so your local stays the best seat in the house".
Outside, the refurb includes an updated logo, refreshed signage, and, according to the pub, "a stylish new feel running right through the building".
The King's head says that "Inside, you'll find refreshed furniture, beautiful new lighting and cosy soft furnishings made for lingering a little longer".
It added: "Out the back, our upgraded garden is ready and waiting for you to discover.
"Most importantly, it's still the pub Teddington knows and loves. Same characterful charm, same friendly faces, just looking better than ever."
Speaking about closing for the refurb, The King's Head said: "A huge thank you for your patience while we've been busy with the tools out. Teddington has always been at the heart of The King's Head, and we couldn't have asked for a better community to come home to."
Heartwood Inns added: "Our very first pub, The King's Head in Teddington, reopens its doors in Teddington, after a month-long refurbishment.
"16 years on from where our story started, we've given this Teddington favourite a fresh lease of life, with all the character you know and love. We can't wait to welcome you home."
