The Pizza Express in Teddington could be forced to close.
The news comes as 75 restaurants owned by the chain may have to close to keep the business afloat.
This would put around 1,000 jobs at risk.
It is believed that the popular Italian restaurant chain has over £1 billion worth of debt that it needs to deal with.
The restaurant already had financial difficulties so the pandemic has only worsened the situation.
Founded in 1965 in Soho, London, Pizza Express is now ever-present on British high streets, with 470 UK restaurants and a further 150 outlets internationally.
It employs 8,000 people in the UK - so a significant portion of the work force maybe forced to cut.
Currently the Teddington branch is open for delivery and collection at the moment.
The nearby restaurants in Twickenham and Kingston are currently closed completely.
It is currently unclear what date the restaurant in Teddington could reopen fully.
