It's bad news for Pizza Express but good news for Teddington today.

The Pizza chain have announced today that 67 restaurants will be closing nationally.

This means that over 1,000 jobs could be lost as the Pizza chain looks for a new owner.

A Pizza Express spokesperson said: "We cannot say at this time which branches will be closing, further information regarding these will be announced next week.

"However, we have already re-opened 160 restaurants and later this week we will announce a further 80 that will be opening.

"There are no plans to close the stores that will have re-opened."

Give that Teddington Pizza Express is now open again this is definitely good news for the local area.
