This is the newborn cygnet photographed at midday today (wed) still fighting for its life after being kicked by a jogger in Richmond Park. According to the Swan Sanctuary at Shepperton, the cygnet is 'critically ill' and receiving intensive care medication, anti-biotics and anti-inflammatory injections and is being regularly monitored by the Sanctuary vets. The Sanctuary has received thousands of calls asking about the health of the cygnet.
