5th Nov 2021 | Local News

By Louise Fein, author of People Like Us, published today.

Today is ebook and audio book publication day!

As most of you know, sadly the hardback has been put back to August. I just thought I'd share my newsletter as it includes all the information about my online events.

Thanks to everyone for all your support, and I hope everyone is keeping well and sane in this most difficult of times.

Sending you all love,

Louise

PUBLICATION NEWSLETTER

It seems appropriate, on publication day, to send out a little extra newsletter!

I had hoped, when I sent out my Spring newsletter a few weeks ago, that we would by now be looking towards opening the country back up after lockdown.

Sadly, it seems as though we are rather in this for the long haul, although news of a potential vaccine on the horizon does offer a glimmer of hope.

BUT, this letter is about book news, not coronavirus news, so that is all I will say on the matter!

As by now you hopefully know, the UK publication of People Like Us has been somewhat disrupted.

Today, 7th May, the book is being released in eBook and audio and the hardback will be released instead on 6th August when hopefully the bookshops will have reopened.

As a result too, the paperback has been postponed from September to February 2021.

Instead of my physical launch at Daunt's, I am instead doing a couple of virtual events TODAY! First, at 6.30 pm for an hour, head over to Twitter where I will be doing a Q&A (so get some questions ready!) with the fabulous author Madeline Dyer for a Book Party Chat - look for #BookPartyChat and #PeopleLikeUs.

Afterwards, at 8.30 pm this evening, join me for my online launch party (see invitation below) where I will be live streaming from my author Facebook page, speaking about the book, answering questions and running a giveaway of some brilliant books.

How to connect to the launch event

I have been musing a little over the concept of publication in general, and in the midst of a pandemic and lockdown, in particular, and have written a blog about it.

You can read the blog here

Finally, a little plea whether you are reading People Like Us, or Daughter of the Reich, if you enjoy the book, I would be enormously grateful if you could pop a review on Amazon, Goodreads or other bookseller site as appropriate.

These reviews really do make a difference to the possibility of books reaching other readers.

One of the best things for me has been to receive a steady little trickle of messages direct from readers all over the world telling me how much they have enjoyed reading my book, how it has resonated and made them think.

This is the very best thing about being an author - knowing your work is touching people and giving them pleasure.

Thank you so much, happy reading and stay safe!

Much love,

Louise
