The Good Wine Shop in High Street, Teddington is due to open later today (sat)

The shop opened briefly before the lockdown and then offered a successful online delivery service but will now open its doors today with strict social distance rules in place.

Payment will be by card only with only one customer in the shop at a time although there is plenty of space for a small queue inside. The shop will be opened from 11am until 7pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

Founder, Mark Wrigglesworth, who also has similar shops in Chiswick, Richmond Hill and Kew, has always wanted to open a branch of The Good Wine Shop in Teddington.

He said:"Everyone tells me there's a desperate need for an independent wine shop in Teddington."

Ben Craighead, from The Good Wine Shop told Teddington Nub News today:"We are really very excited and happy to be opening our doors at long last and looking forward to providing a unique customer service to Teddington."

When fully operational and not restricted by lockdown guidelines, the shop will have space inside for 16 seats as a wine bar as well as a private room, known as The Vaults, for private functions.
