The annual Oktoberfest event in Germany may be cancelled this year but don't worry - we've got our own right here in Teddington.

The pandemic has meant that the festival in Munich won't take place between late September and early October like it has done for many years.

However The Hogarth Pub in Teddington, located on Broad Street, are here to save the day.

Between Thursday 24th September and Sunday 27th September the pub will be holding 'Hogtoberfest'.

The event of course will be Covid secure and will feature a number of the highlights of the actual Oktoberfest.

There will be German lager, German BBQ food, live entertainment, one litre steins, decorations and beer Olympics.

At Oktoberfest in Munich around 7.7 million litres of beer is consumed each year and while its unlikely The Hogarth will get through that much a good time is sure to be had.

The acts announced so far for Hogtoberfest are Mathilda Heenehan & Luke Seager plus Jason Darling and Bob Cox.

The Hogarth are also offering special deals for sports team on the Sunday of the festival.
