Richmond Council confirm there will be no access via Teddington bridges overnight on weekdays from 11 September.

The council reported in early June that the bridges, which average over 5,000 pedestrians and 2,000 cycle movements on a typical weekday, would undergo works in a bid to maintain their upkeep and ensure they remain resilient for 'many years to come'.

It states a "bespoke" access system has been developed that allows the majority of works to be completed, whilst maintaining access across both bridges.

However, due to the restricted width of the bridges, when working on the inside of the parapets, we will have to restrict access to the bridges. To limit disruption these restrictions will take place overnight.

The nighttime works will take place when required from 9.30pm to 6.30am Monday-Friday. Works will not take place overnight on Saturday or Sunday.
