On Friday Munira Wilson, MP for Twickenham, met with Natalie O'Rouke, the manager of Park Lane Stables, to congratulate her on the successful crowdfunding campaign which has raised over £1.5 million. It is an important milestone in the fight to save the stables.

Munira offered to continue her support of the stables, and the Riding for the Disabled charity, as they attempt to purchase the site.

Following the meeting Munira Wilson said:

"It is fantastic news that the crowdfunding campaign has been such a success and there is now a great chance that this important local facility can be saved.

"I visited the stables in December, soon after they had been informed that the site would be put up for sale. Since then, Natalie and her team have worked tirelessly on the campaign to raise enough money to purchase the property.

"It was great to talk to Natalie today, and I offered her my continued support as we try to save this much-loved local facility"

The stables have been a key part of the local community in Teddington for over 12 years offering horse riding, carriage driving and other horse-based therapies to adults and especially children with disabilities.
