A fishmongers coming to the former Sandys site in Twickenham has announced its opening date.

Over the weekend, Moxon's Fishmongers revealed that it is opening its doors at 56 King Street tomorrow (Tuesday, 30 June) at 9am.

In an Instagram post the fish merchants said: "The team has been working through this blisteringly hot week to make the big day as perfect as possible.

"We are armed to the teeth with fish and everything that goes with it + more.

"So come down and say hello next week, we can't wait to meet you all."

After the sudden announcement of the death of Sandys Fishmongers owner Stuart Sandys on 30 November 2025, the family decided to close the business.

According to its website, Moxon's will operate from Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Moxon's Fishmongers currently has four other locations with shops in Clapham South, East Dulwich, South Kensington and a smokehouse in Wimbledon.
