Teddington residents have continued to pay tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh, who died on Friday 9 April at the age of 99.
Many in our town paid their respects and shared memories of Prince Philip at the time, which you can read about here
But there were other tributes to the late Prince both on that day and in the aftermath as the UK entered a period of national mourning.
On Friday 9 April, the Chairman of the Teddington Branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) gave a statement on behalf of the Branch paying tribute to the Prince.
He said: "As the longest serving royal consort in British history, Prince Philip was at the Queen's side for more than six decades of her reign.
"He has earned the affection of generations here in the United Kingdom, across the Commonwealth and around the world.
"His legacy of service to our country will live on forever. He will be sadly missed.
"Our thoughts are with Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal family, and Prince Philip's friends and colleagues."
Margaret Beasley, Club Secretary of the Branch, also shared a tribute to Prince Philip from herself and her husband Tony.
She said: "Prince Philip was a great supporter of the RBL, and as we are both on the committee of the Club, we both feel he really will be great loss to The United Kingdom.
"My husband did the Duke of Edinburgh award when it first started, back in 1956/7 and he was a great inspiration to youngsters of that era.
"He is irreplaceable."
Prince Philip served in the Royal Navy as a young man and was known for his support of veterans and support of the RBL. You can read the national RBL's tribute to the Duke here .
Local resident and wildlife photographer Sue Lindenberg also paid tribute to Prince Philip.
On Saturday 10 April she shared photos online of her parents meeting the late Prince when he visited North Borneo in 1959.
She said "My parents were introduced to Prince Philip when he visited N Borneo in 1959.
"Dad's car was used as it was the only convertible in Seria at the time.
"RIP Prince Philip, condolences to our beloved Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family."
The Prince's funeral is due to take place this Saturday (17 April) at St George's Chapel, in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The plans for the funeral are in line with the Duke's wishes and the procession and service will be televised.
The procession through the grounds of Windsor Castle will begin at 2.40pm and the service will start at 3pm, when a national minute's silence will be held in memory of the duke.
The Royal Family have opened an online book of condolence for members of the public to sign.
