A man was taken to hospital after being struck by lightning at East Molesey Cricket Club on Tuesday (2 June).

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) attended the scene along with the London Air Ambulance Charity.

A spokesperson for SECAmb told Nub News: "South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) was called at approximately 14.38 on Tuesday 2 June, following concerns after reports of a lightning strike at East Molesey Cricket Club, in Graburn Way, East Molesey.

"Crews attended the incident, including a critical care paramedic, and were joined at the scene by the London Air Ambulance Charity. A patient was assessed and treated at the scene, before being taken to Kingston Hospital by ambulance for further medical treatment."
