Enquiries are ongoing after a man was seen with a "large knife" at a Hampton supermarket.

Police were called to the shop in Oldfield Road, Hampton shortly after 6pm on Monday (August 5), but found no suspect or victim following a search of the premises.

Officers were called back just before 7pm following reports the man was hiding inside.

But they returned and were unable to locate the man.

A review of the shop's CCTV footage showed the man leaving the premises.

Police said: "If you have any information please contact 101 and quote CAD 6401/05AUG24"
