It was a lucky escape for a man and child as there were dramatic scenes in Teddington earlier this week.

As seen in the photo a car was flipped in dramatic scenes on Elmfield Avenue.

The police, ambulance and fire brigade were all called to the scene.

The London Fire Brigade told Nub News:

"Firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Elmfield Avenue in Teddington on Tuesday.

"One car collided with two parked vehicles. A man and a child left the vehicle and were both treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.

"The Brigade was called at 1918 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1948. Fire crews from Twickenham fire station attended the scene."

One eyewitness told Nub News:

"It beggars belief how you can flip a car in a narrow avenue.

"Three fire engines, several police cars, two ambulances and first attenders it seemed overkill.

"The two passengers were trapped for at least an hour including the driver."

Another added:

"Oh it was very dramatic- I heard a massive bang - I went out and there was a car about 50 yds down the road ROLLED!! How do you roll a car at 20mph???

"3 passengers, a child and 3 dogs.... no one hurt but we had 3 fire engines, 6 police cars and an ambulance."

It is not believed that anyone was arrested in connection with the incident.
