Teddington's beating heart of arts and culture, The Landmark Arts Centre, is set to host the perfect Valentine's Day evening this year as it teams up with the Guildford School of Acting to host a special Shakespeare-themed show.

Bringing together all the best bits of the bard, Shakespeare & Love will treat audiences to a romanced themed cavalcade of music and words encompassing all facets of love on 14 February 2023.

Produced by the former Shakespeare's Globe and current Landmark Arts Centre Director, Harper Ray, the show will evoke sorrow, joy, laughter and leave audiences wondering how anyone ever survives love.

The production, which is part of the Landmark's poetry season, pairs the well matched and the ill met, the passionate and the star crossed and tragedy with comedy. Whatever your love life, the Valentine's Day special is set to bring to life the world's most enduring emotion, through sonnets and scenes, as seen by its most famous playwright.

Landmark Director, Harper Ray said: "If you know love, then this is the show for you. It's very exciting to be working with the talented students from one of the UK's top theatre schools on the production which explores all the emotions love can evoke. It's an incredible introduction to Shakespeare and a reminder of the greatest lovers ever written."

The Landmark Arts Centre is currently offering a special 2-4-1 deal on tickets which are purchased in advance, further details can be found here or by calling the box office on 020 8977 7558.

The centre's Season of Poetry is running until April and kickstarts with Roger McGough's Alive & Gigging tomorrow night, followed by London Laureate by Cecilia Knapp on 11 February, who is holding a poetry masterclass .
