Local children's hospice charity, Shooting Star Children's Hospices, has announced the return of its Christmas tree collection service across Richmond borough, including in Teddington.
This January, in exchange for a donation, they will collect your real Christmas tree, take it away and recycle it.
All funds raised will help support local families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved.
Working in partnership with JustHelping, a UK charity who aim to empower communities to raise money for local causes, Shooting Star will receive 90 per cent of money raised, with the other 10% distributed to other local charities.
What's more, as well as supporting local families, you will be helping the environment. Recycling and chipping your real Christmas tree with Shooting Star, will reduce its carbon footprint by up to 80 per cent - not to mention saving you time, hassle and mess!
The charity's volunteer elves will collect trees from 24 postcodes in the TW, KT and GU area between Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 January 2026.
All you need to do is sign up and register your tree before midnight on Wednesday, 7 January 2026.
The TW postcodes covered I the project are: TW1, TW2, TW9, TW10, TW11, TW12, TW13, TW16, TW17.
You can register to have your tree collected here.
