Tennis courts are available at the Lensbury Club in Teddington from today under strict guidance from the LTA and the government. Booking opens from today and the courts will open on Friday.

The grass courts will open on May 18th

The riverside club will operate a 'pay as you play' system as membership fees have been suspended and only singles games are permitted unless people are from the same household.

A statement today from the Club said: "Following on from the Prime Minister's update and guidance from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), I am pleased to announce that from today (Wednesday 13th May), tennis courts at The Lensbury are available to pre-book for use from Friday 15th May.

"All courts will be open with the exception of the grass courts which will open from Monday 18th May.

"Your membership fees continue to be frozen during this time and until further notice as we can only offer a limited facility at this stage and tennis courts will operate on a pay and play basis as outlined below.

"The health and well-being of our members and staff remains our top priority and we will be operating this limited service whilst adhering to the social distancing guidelines."
