The Landmark Arts Centre is all set to welcome families to its debut 'Fusion Weekend' this week, as the multi-arts festival perfectly coincides with schools breaking up for the February half term.

Running from 11 - 12 February, #PARTICIPATE FUSION is a two-day multi-arts festival packed with activities for all age groups including poetry, yoga, photography, multi-media, journaling and art and textiles, all of which will be led by industry experts.

Art classes include the popular art of Chinese brush painting and gilding whilst comic book fans will be able to try out the classic artistic style in a comic book panel workshop. Also on offer are textile workshops to create special gifts in time for Valentine or Mother's Day.

A comic book class is one of the many engaging workshops on offer during the Landmark's Fusion Weekend.

For multi-media enthusiasts there is a workshop to learn pro mobile phone photography, plus a sound effects and foley workshop to discover how sound effects are produced for film, TV and radio. Those looking for relaxation won't be short of options with journaling, mindfulness and a yoga and sound bath evening also included within the schedule.

Poetry features highly on the agenda with stage and visual art poetry workshops and there will be an opportunity to take part in a poetry masterclass with renowned poet and London Laureate, Cecilia Knapp (pictured below).

Greg Emfietzis, the Landmark's Creative Learning Manager, said: "We're very excited to be launching our first Participate weekend.
