This week's featured opportunity is with an international charity based right here in Teddington!

The Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) works to improve the lives of people affected by disasters worldwide.

Its London office is located on Waldegrave Road - just off Teddington High Street.

The charity is now looking for a part-time (three days per week) Human Resources Officer to work on a 9-months fixed-term contract.

What the role involves

-Advising managers and staff on policies;

- Supporting staff and consultant recruitment, onboarding and contract administration;

Providing general HR Administration; and

Supporting Learning & Development.

The successful candidate will...

- Be educated to degree level, preferably in a Human Resources or relevant subject,

- Be CIPD level 3 qualified.

- Have generalist HR experience gained within a fast-paced HR team with experience of coordinating recruitment, and maintaining HR records and HRIS.

- Have experience working in an international, multicultural environment in the charity sector

- Have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, and strong IT skills.

- Be able work with limited supervision, and able to think, plan, prioritise and organise in a clear and structured way, as well as being able to work in and adapt to, a rapidly changing environment

The role comes with a part-time salary of £15,900 with a non-contributory pension.

It is currently home-based but there are plans for a hybrid working model in the longer term as Government guidance allows.

The charity encourages applicants of Black, Asian and ethnic minority (BAME) backgrounds for all roles.
