It's DO-Day in Teddington - the day that DOORS OPEN for the big shop trawl

Stand by for DO-DAY because tomorrow is DOORS OPEN DAY the grand re-opening for many of the shops and stores which we have missed for nearly three months of lockdown and SHUT-down.

Although most the supermarkets and essential stores have been trading, tomorrow is the day when many of the local and independent shops in High Street and Broad Street can burst back into business.

We're not quite ready for a pub crawl yet but a good old-fashioned SHOP TRAWL will do wonders for the mental wellbeing as well as the community's struggling economy, especially, the smaller shops.

All the shops have their own social distancing rules depending on the size of the interiors but clear signage everywhere including floor signs helps customers with the 2 metre social distancing rules and hand sanitiser is available in every outlet.

Different opening timings will apply to different shops as they find their feet and deliveries and collections will still be available.

If you have worn out your trainers exercising in the park The Sweat Shop can sort you out; if you've been overwhelmed by the amazing wildlife and scenery in the parks and on the river, you can invest in a new whizzy camera at Teddington Photographic in the High Street.

If the ladies want to pretend they are going to Royal Ascot (it's behind closed doors this year) One Hundred High Street is re-opening and if you fancy a flutter Ladbrokes betting shop in the High Street will be happy to take your money from tomorrow. (Unsure about Ladbrokes, Broad Street)

Nicholls, the jewellers in High Street will be reopening and Amulette in Park Road if you want to treat yourself or a partner or you have discovered lockdown love and want to mark the occasion with a sparkling ring!

Please do check individual websites and telephone to check for varying opening times. This is not a definitive list.
