An independent retailer, which stocks gifts and homeware, is set to close next month.

Heirloom, located on High Street, is currently offering a 30 per cent discount on all of its store items to mark its closure.

A note in the shop's window, written by the shop's owner, Shelley, says: "After 18 amazing years, Heirloom will be closing early August.

"It's been a really difficult decision to make but 2025 has become a year of change – children going to university, family bereavements, starting a post-graduate degree and with a natural break in the shop lease, the time feels right to step away.

"Thank you to you our wonderful customers for every visit you have made, every item you have bought and every chat that we have shared.

"A special thank you to the incredible Heirloom team, past and present – especially to Elaine for her commitment and support that she's given to Heirloom over the past 6 years."

Heirloom first opened in Teddington in October 2012 after relocating from St Margarets.
