The outdoor pool at Pools on the Park Richmond will be closed on Thursday, 17 September to allow for scheduled maintenance work to take place.

The planned works consist of a one-day closure to facilitate the installation of a new pool cover system. The new cover will help to reduce ongoing maintenance and improve energy efficiency.

The main pool and teaching pool will remain open as normal throughout the day, and all indoor activities and sessions will continue as scheduled.

These works are the latest in a series of improvements at the centre. The pool covers for the two indoor pools were completed last week and earlier this year, a brand-new multi-purpose studio was opened and the toilets in the café area were refurbished.

Further proposed improvements include refurbishment of the gym area and changing rooms, improvements to swimming pool area and sauna and steam provision.

Richmond Counicl said: "We apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and thank residents for their understanding while these improvements are carried out."
