The borough's mayor and two MPs joined other dignitaries and representatives of the Forces to pay their respects at Remembrance Sunday events.

A moving service took place in Teddington at the Emfield Gardens Memorial with Cllr Charlie Engel in attendance as well as representatives from local organisations including Teddington's RNLI station, the Teddington Ward Neighbourhood Policing Team and Teddington Memorial Hospital.

Teddington residents gather for the town's Remembrance Day service and parade.

The mayor, Cllr Julia Cambridge, was first at the war memorial in Radnor Gardens, Twickenham, and later in East Sheen.

Marking the gatherings, she said: "Honoured to lay the wreath on behalf of The Borough for our fallen heroes on Remembrance Sunday

"Radnor Gardens Twickenham was full of community members who listened to prayers and hymns led by Rev Hopkin Williams. Thank you to the local Royal British Legion."

Twickenham MP, Munira Wilson, said: "An honour to lay wreaths for Remembrance Sunday on behalf of my constituents at St Stephens, Twickenham, then at Radnor Gardens and at Hampton War Memorial.

"Beautiful day, with hundreds turning out to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms."

The Richmond Park MP, Sarah Olney, said: "An honour to lay wreaths on behalf of my constituents in Richmond and New Malden."
