Hospitality Heroes: The Lion in Teddington

By The Editor

5th Nov 2021 | Local News

Welcome to out hospitality heroes series.

Nub News will be providing you with a profile of a number of fantastic hospitality venues ahead of their reopening in April and May.

The industry has been hit particularly hard with pubs and restaurants only open for four out of the last 12 months.

Today here is everything you need to know about The Lion.

Situated on Wick Road in the southern section of the town The Lion has a fantastic beer garden - something that will be even more vital this year.

Matt Openshaw, owner of the pub, told Nub News:

"We spent a load of money trying to winter proof the garden so that we could operate through the winter with covid restrictions, only to be closed for the winter anyway!

"Oh well, we will have the heaters and covers for next year!

"We also had a full refurbishment last year as well.

"We will be holding the South Teddington Beer Festival on The August Bank holiday. Should be no restrictions by then and a great celebration!"

You can now book online for the big reopening scheduled for April 12th.
