It is set to be the hottest weekend in some time for Teddington.

The heatwave that has started today will continue all throughout the weekend as we could once again break the record for the highest temperature this year.

The Met Office are predicting that temperatures today will reach an sizzling 35 degrees Celsius.

Things are only set to get hotter however as with highs of 36 degrees on Saturday we could be in store for the hottest day of the year so far.

Last Friday temperatures also reached around the 36 degree mark in the local area.

The heat will continue through Sunday and even into Monday with temperatures of around 35 expected on both those days.

The Met Office still predicts the temperature to be above 30 on Tuesday and Wednesday but finally cooling down towards the end of next week.

It is important to stay safe in a heatwave - especially at the moment - so make sure you don't spend too long in this blistering heat.
