Teddington's first-ever beer festival takes place later this week, a three-day celebration of some of the best beers, ales and ciders in the UK.

Running from the 3rd - 5th November 2022, the Teddington Beer Festival will raise funds for the Landmark Arts Centre, the beating heart of arts and culture within the area, and where the event will be held.

The festival will showcase some of the finest craft beers and ciders the country has to offer with over 60 cask ales and 15 varieties of cider from breweries as far afield as Nottingham to Sussex, Kent to the Midlands, as well as London.

There will be a range of rich seasonal brews and refreshing hoppy ales. Award winners will be making an appearance including the European Beer Challenge 2021 Gold Winner and the Taste of Kent Beer of the Year.

Alongside the beers, visitors will be able to sample street food by Strawberry Hill based, Homemade Curries. Small batch spirits and cocktails will be supplied by local Kingston distillery, Bone Idyll.

A wonderful selection of live music will also be on offer across the sessions featuring local bands.

Thursday, 3rd November will see The Alternators take to the stage. The Surrey-based cover band call themselves The Alternators for three main reasons. The first is that they alternate between two lead singers (one male, one female). They also try to do alternative covers – not the screamingly obvious Brown Eyed Girls chased by Mr Brightsides - but ones you'd forgotten you loved, old friends you embrace warmly. And the third being they sometimes tackle them in a completely different style to the original, or mash up two or more songs.

The Alternators will be playing live at the Landmark this Thursday during the first day of the Teddington Beer Festival.

The Landmark will be graced by GTA on Friday evening. The band came together in 2018 and mix performances with a blend of blues/rock, pop and funk classics. Paul Shields will be on lead vocals, Mike Simpson on guitar and vocals, Tim Francis on Guitar, Matt Griffith on bass and vocals and Roger Swaine on drums.

Those in attendance on the festival's final day, Saturday 5th November, will be treated to live performances in both the afternoon and evening. Your funky next door neighbours and BRIT School graduates, The Colossals, will take to the stage first and the night will end in style with The Deputies, a good time rock n' roll band full of seasoned musicians from a wide range of backgrounds.

Colin Newton, festival organiser, commented: "After many months of planning and support from our collaborators, we're thrilled to bring the first-ever beer festival to Teddington. Holding it at the Landmark means we can offer a large range of beers, ales, ciders and gins, food and live music, providing a great festival experience for all. We're expecting large numbers over the weekend and hope to raise lots of funds for the Landmark."

Breweries attending are Bedlam; Billericay; Brentwood; Caveman; Cellarhead; Colchester; Crumbs; Elephant School; Farr Brew; Front Row; Goffs; Harwick; Heritage; Kelchner; Leather Britches; Milestone; Park; Portobello; Sambrook's; Twickenham; Wantsum; Witham; Wimbledon.

Event sponsors include the multi-award-winning CAMRA pub of the year, The Masons Arms, Jawbone Brewing, Crumbs Brewery, Bedlam Brewery, Sambrook's Brewery, Twickenham Brewery, The Anglers Pub, Wimbledon Brewery and Noble Green.

Tickets for the festival are available to buy here and include a souvenir glass, programme and first beer token.
