Teddington Nub News can reveal that the film production at Hampton Court Palace is another series of the television drama-comedy series 'The Great.'

The Great is a 2020 comedy-drama television series described by its commissioner Hulu as "anti-historical" loosely based on the rise to power of Catherine the Great, Empress of All Russia. It stars Ellie Fanning and Nicholas Hoult

All 10 episodes of the first season were released on Hulu on May 15, 2020. The story revolves around royal woman living in rural Russia during the 18th century is forced to choose between her own personal happiness and the future of Russia, when she marries an Emperor.

More trucks and filming paraphernalia could be seen at the front of the Palace as well as spotlights and makeshift gazebos for shelter in the event of rain.

A bright orange sign outside of the gates and fixed to lamp post said TG LOC, which stands for The Great location.

An un-named official on duty at the gates confirmed that the filming involved a new series of The Great, which was also filmed at Ham House and last year for the first series.
