A FOODBANK appeal has been launched by Hampton & Richmond borough FC in the wake of the Ukraine crisis.

The new appeal will see the club collect donations for Richmond foodbank and the local Ukraine relief effort at Twickenham restaurant prosperity.

The Hampton-based club previously ran a foodbank collection scheme in 2019 and was later nominated for Community Group of the Year at a Richmond borough heroes awards in 2020.

Younger players with the team's Academy section will be taking collections at the match against Dulwich Hamlet FC tomorrow (5 March).

Tinned food, toiletries and dried goods are all being requested for the foodbank while the Ukraine appeal needs medical supplies, powerbanks/batteries, baby food and nappies.

Hampton & Richmond borough FC recently celebrated 100 years and currently play in the National League South (Vanarama League).

Tomorrow's match at their home stadium on Beaver Close kicks off at 3pm and tickets are £14 for adults and £10 concessions - find out more HERE
