F45, a global fitness community specialising in innovative, high-intensity group workouts have announced F45 Teddington will officially be opening on the 18th June.

The alternative gym will be taking over the Grade II listed building on the corner of The Causeway and Broad Street.

Initially, a hit fitness studio will be opened on the ground floor of the landmark 19th century building for classes to take place, with exciting plans also in the works for the second and third floors to reflect F45 Teddington's community feel.

From its humble beginnings in Australia, the now US-based fitness company has over 1750 studios in 45 countries.

The 'F' in its name stands for 'functional training', while 45 is the "total amount of time for sweat dripping, heart pumping fun" according to the company's website.

Caitlin Robbins, Studio Manager at F45 Teddington, explained how the innovative approach to daily classes and its community feel is what sets it apart from competitors.

She said: "I was a member of F45 and loved it so much I wanted to actually work for the company, the focus on creating a community led environment is incredible.

"I have met people who I see on the weekend, people who live on my road, the energy is really infectious because you are surrounded by people that want to push themselves and before you know it, coming to class becomes the ideal way to start your day!"

Each day entails a varied workout session at the F45 studios with multiple trainers on hand to take part alongside members whilst providing morale and motivation throughout the class.

Working in pairs is often encouraged to help build relationships and classes are always concluded with high-fives all round.

Ambassadors are regularly recruited by F45 to maintain the innovative feel of classes including Australian Olympian Morgan Mitchell and former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham.

Ambassador classes are streamed at the gym's UK studios and provide members with valuable insight into how they can mirror fitness regimes with those of professional athletes.

Despite the Teddington studio still being a few weeks away from its official launch, the team have been hard at work beginning to establish community ties, giving the town a sense of what they can expect from classes.

A community meet-up was held at their sister studio in Wimbledon on the 19th May and on the 15th June, F45 Teddington will be hosting an outdoor boot camp alongside their first official community partner, East Molesey Cricket Club.

Prior to F45 Teddington's official launch on the 18th June, free two-week trials are available for sign up as well as the opportunity to purchase discounted foundation memberships. To sign up now for the exclusive deals on offer, visit their homepage here
