It's nearly the end of January 2024 and what have you done? Have you stuck to your resolutions? Have you spent more time with the kids? Have you picked up that new hobby?

Fear not! Chinese New Year is 10 February so why not start afresh again?

Embark on a mesmerising journey with the Landmark Arts Centre's exclusive family workshop, specially designed to celebrate the Chinese New Year in style!

Join the Landmark Arts Centre for an immersive experience that promises a memorable celebration with your loved ones.*

As we welcome the auspicious Year of the Dragon in 2024, the workshop will take you on a creative journey. Dive into the fascinating world of the Chinese zodiac and discover the significance behind each animal in the 12-year lunar cycle.

Putting a spotlight on the power of the colour red, symbolising good fortune and positive energy, discover the vibrant traditions of the new year. Craft stunning home decorations and create lasting family memories.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have gained knowledge about Chinese culture, learned some Chinese words and even experienced Chinese calligraph.

Transform everyday materials of red paper, ink, brushes, scissors, mixed colour papers and white glue into stunning decorations to adorn your home with as you welcome Chinese New Year.

If you enjoyed the family workshop, why not try the Chinese painting and calligraphy class on your own?

Starting from 20 February, the four-week course will explore the foundations of Chinese Art & Calligraphy and build a basic understanding of how to create and interpret such artworks. By the end of the course, you will be able to use the appropriate painting tools to create your own art works.

No experience is required and all are welcome. All art material will be provided such as rice paper, ink, and brushes. Just please bring 2 small containers (for colour mixing/brush washing).

Want to hear more about the Landmark Arts Centre's events and courses? Keep an eye out for its Spring classes coming out soon! Sale starts 26 February.

 *Suitable for children aged 7-11.
